This explains how Scrubs & Fine Print handles information when you use our W-2 vs. 1099 calculator, download the free checklist, or visit our Starter Kit page.
The short version
- The numbers you type into the calculator stay in your browser. We don't receive or save them.
- The free checklist doesn't need your email address or any other information.
- We count anonymous visits and a few button clicks (for example, whether results were shown) with GoatCounter, a privacy-focused service. It never receives what you type.
- If you buy the Starter Kit, checkout happens on Payhip, a separate company.
What you type into the calculator
The calculator runs in your web browser. The pay, schedule, benefit, and cost numbers you enter are not sent to us or to anyone else, and we don't save them. They disappear when you refresh or close the page.
If you use "Download as text" or "Print or save as PDF," the file is created on your own device. Keep it somewhere safe if it includes personal financial details.
The free checklist
The checklist PDF is built into the page, and your device creates the download when you click the button. We don't ask for your email address, your name, or anything else to get it.
Buying the Starter Kit
Links to the 1099 Healthcare Starter Kit take you to Payhip, which is a separate company with its own website. Payhip and its payment providers handle checkout, payment, and delivery of the PDF, and they process the information needed to complete your purchase. In our Payhip account we may see order details such as your name, email address, and order and refund status. We never see your full card number.

Website hosting, logs, and cookies
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most website hosts, it may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, and it may use cookies, in order to deliver and secure the site. The page itself doesn't use cookies or advertising trackers. It does use a simple visit counter, described in the next section.
Payhip may use cookies and similar tools on its own pages. These companies handle information under their own policies. You can read Cloudflare's privacy policy and Payhip's privacy policy. Your browser settings can limit cookies, though some features of those services may stop working.
Visit counting
We use GoatCounter, a privacy-focused analytics service, to count visits and a few actions on this page: whether the calculator showed results, whether the example button or the free checklist was used, and whether a link to Payhip was clicked. Like any web service, it can see standard visit information, such as the page, the site that sent you, your browser type and screen size, and your IP address, because your browser contacts it. GoatCounter says it tells visits apart without cookies and without persistently storing personal data. It never receives the numbers you type into the calculator. If you email us
If you write to us, we use your message and email address to reply. Please don't send patient information, Social Security numbers, passwords, or bank details.
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use the calculator to collect it.
Your choices
Because the calculator doesn't keep what you enter, there's nothing for us to delete. If you have a question about your Payhip order, or you want to ask about information we hold from a message you sent us, email scrubsandfineprint@gmail.com. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on a request.
Changes to this notice
If how the site works changes, for example if we add an email signup, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
